Joy of Saving Life Programme for NSS Volunteers, Students and Faculty Members

Date: 22nd Feb 2019

Every single individual in this world has the potentiality and the power to save a life. It is an essential gesture of solidarity. Any basic medical or first aid education should be accessible to all without not just any discrimination but also without any barriers.

On 22nd February 2019, a program was conducted by the NSS Unit of T.John College in association with Dr.Ramesh & Team, Emergency Medicine & Trauma Specialist, Sparsh Trauma Centre, Bangalore. They whole heartedly took the programme to explain about the basic first aid and CRP training. Faculty members, students and NSS volunteers were provided with such an opportunity to learn the basic first aid like chest compression and rescue breath through mouth which has to be done to an unconscious person during any medical emergency situation and that could help the person save a life. The hands-on experience helped the students to gain the practical knowledge which is informative and engaging. Any individual should take some time from the busy schedule to learn about the basic first aid and CRP. It can save the lives of many or even one. It doesn’t matter if it is a minor situation or a major one. What is important more is, it’s a life saving act. The program was organized by Mr. Arun Kumar.R, NSS Programme Officer, T.John College.
