T John Institute of Management and Science (TIMS) conducted its Graduation Day for year 2017 on 5th April 2017. More than 100 students were part of the 11th Graduation Day Ceremony along with their parents and other invitees. Dr. Thomas P John, Chairman T John Group of Institutions was the chief guest and Advisor to TJGI – Wg. Cdr. (Rtd) David A.K Yohan was guest of honor for the graduation day ceremony. The event began with the Graduation Day march by the dignitaries followed by invocation song sung by Ms.Divya IV B.Com, Mr Prasanth IV B.Com ,Ms Arshiya II BBA and Mr. Ritam of II BBA .
The ceremonial lamp was lighted by dignitaries. Dr. Bijoy Mishra, Principal TIMS welcomed the dignitaries and the esteemed gathering. He congratulated the passing out students and also their parents on this occasion. He enlightened students about how a student can do wonders as Indians in a time when many large technology companies of world like Microsoft, Google etc. have CEO’s from Indian origin. He also discussed about achievements of Indians in area of Mathematics by Arya Bhatta, Physics by Sir C.V Raman, Cricket by Sachin Tendulkar etc. and inspired the students to take a pledge on an occasion like today and start working to achieve their dreams. He presented a brief about achievements of TIMS for the academic year 2016-17 and narrated about the major events such as FDP, National Conference, TIMS HABBA, Clubs Activities, Sports Event and Student Academic Achievements etc.
Advisor to TJGI – Wg. Cdr. (Rtd) David A.K. Yohan congratulated the passing out students and shared his working experience with the students. He advocated the students about the qualities of a professional to maintain the confidence and honesty to prosper in the job.
The Chairman, Dr. Thomas T John, TJGI demonstrated the students about how to achieve happiness in one individual’s life by interacting with the audience. He spoke about how students should plan for future after doing graduation. He discussed about planning for dreams for students like defining goal of each student, which city they want to work, how much they will earn 10 years down the line. He also reiterated that the future years belong to Indians and you must bag it. He also motivated students by making them understand about values of their education to society, institute and their parents.
The Graduating students took a pledge on the Graduation Day and that was administered by the Principal, TIMS, Dr. Bijoy Mishra.
The graduating students received the Course completion certificate from Dr. Thomas T John, Chairman T John Group of Institution he also awarded cash prize for best outgoing students named, Ms Bhavana B.Com (2016) and Ms Rekha MBA (2016) .He also gave special awards to students who secured full marks in University examination and also to faculties who guided them for this spectacular performances.
Dr. Bijoy Mishra, Principal TIMS, felicitated students for their academic achievements and distributed awards for Sports activities to students, teaching and non-teaching staff. Prizes for the Cultural events were handed over by Wg. Cdr. (Rtd) David A.K. Yohan. The winners of Club events received the certificates from Dr Yogita Wagh, Associate Professor, TIMS.
Ms. Bhuvaneswari of VIth Sem B.Com and Ms Noor Almas of VI BBA were awarded as the Best outgoing students for B.Com (2017) and BBA (2017) courses respectively.
Dr. Shikha Tiwari, Principal TJC, Dr. Tippaswamy, Principal TJIT, Dr. Vineeth Chandy, Principal, TJCP, Mrs. Gladish Joseph, Principal, TJCN, Mr. Roy M Raju, Administrator and Mr. Kuttan Nair, Finance manager graced the occasion with their presence. Dr.Yogita Wagh Associate Professor TIMS proposed the vote of thanks.
Mr. Prasanth Kumar, IV th B.Com, Ms.Bhavana Bajaj Aumni B.Com and Ms Rekha MBA shared their experience in TIMS to the gathering. It was very interesting.
The felicitation for best performing students for club activities was also followed by sports award.
Prof Saritha, Mr.Vaishak IInd B.Com and Ms.Arshiya IInd BBA were the anchors of the day. The event culminated with the T.John Anthem followed by a gala lunch.
