The Honourable Deputy Chief Minister and the Home minister of Karnataka Dr.G.Parameshwara has directed that all the educational institutions in the city to cooperate with the Bengaluru Police officials in nabbing the drug peddlers. In order to discuss and address the issue of drug menace in the city, the Bengaluru City Police held a meeting with educational institutions on 27th August 2018 in NIMHANS Conevention Center. Dr. BN Gangadhar, Director, National Institute of Mental Health And Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) said that educators in schools and colleges who interact with their students on a daily basis could look out for symptoms among their students and help them avoid later risks. In connection to this, NSS Unit of T.John College under the guidance of Principal, Dr.Shikha Tiwari had taken up the initiative of spreading awareness amongst the students about the ill effects of usage of drugs. The NSS Volunteers prepared charts and showcased it to others by conducting a Anti-Drug Campaign Rally in T.John College Campus on 31st August 2018.
