BLAZE 2018 – A spark can set it ablaze

BLAZE 2018 formed the perfect achievement of a milestone to cultural fiesta towards the end of the even semester of 2018 at T. John College, before the campus readies itself into examinations mode.


The stellar of a college festival, lit up the TJGI auditorium and campus on the 23rd and 24th of March; it witnessed an out-pour of participants and performers from colleges across South India, making the day’s footfall a staggering 2000.


The first day was flagged off with the presence of Dr. Thomas P. John ,Chairman, TJGI, Dr. Shikha Tiwari ,Principal, T. John College and Mrs. Hemalatha Dodamani ,Vice Principal, T. John College, alongside chief guests for the morning’s fashion portfolio presentation show “défilé de mode” – Rajesh Shetty ,Fashion Designer, Musthafa VK ,Mr. Physique Bangalore & Mysore, Chithral Rangaswamy ,Film Actress, Archana Mosale ,Film Actress and Shankar Narayanan, Video Jockey, Actor. The day was followed with a variety of events, performances, and contests in music, dance, a number of quizzes, gaming, chef competitions, etc. Mr. & Ms. BLAZE like every year formed the crowning glory of the day with a terrific line-up of judging panellists – Mr. Ranvijay Pratap Singh ,Popular Voice-over Artist, Ms. Avi Keswani ,Co- Director, CREO Valley and Ms. Aishwarya Baspure ,Actress.


Day 2 hosted the much awaited football tournament bringing all the celebrations to conclusion. The preparations were led by the core committee team that sought unconditional guidance, clarity and direction from Asst. Prof. Srinivasa Prasad ,MBA Department, Asst. Prof. Nisha Sharma ,BCA Department, Asst. Prof. Kiran Vazirani ,BBA Department and Asst. Prof. Finny K Mathew, BHM Dept.


The annual food festival of the department of hotel management was held on the 10th of march 2018 at the campus ground between 12 noon and 3:00pm. The fest drew it’s legacy with a foot fall of 1400 plus invitees to relish the food of various cuisines of the globe. The guests were a mix of in campus students, parents, industry veterans, professionals of various fields of work, students and teachers from more than 18 schools and colleges across Bangalore. the event was fun filled with lots of games, juggling, flaring, entertainments with a professional band troop and several other cultural events.

a lot of laurels and appreciations rained on the organisers, making it a milestones event of the campus 13 counters with various cuisines were arranged for the feast of all our guests. the centre of attraction of the event was the massive fruit and vegetable carving point, which made all our guests says: “wow”. the event was a great success in all peripherals of operations and we are proud of our students and teachers who put in their total effort to make this event a grand success.
