ISO Annual Surveillance Audit 2017

The ISO 9001:2008 annual Surveillance Audit by BSI group was conducted for T. John Group of Institutions on 30th and 31st March 2017. Assessment was headed by lead auditor of the BSI team Mr. Harish.L. Sastry in accompaniment with the team members Mr. Nagendra and Ms. Mohua Banerjee.  The audit began with the opening session on 30th March, wherein BSI Auditors, Heads of Institutions, Management representative, Group ISO co-ordinator and all College ISO coordinators were present. The focus of Surveillance Audits is to ensure continued compliance with the ISO standard and the policies and processes of TJGI. Auditors Inspected for evidence that the quality system is being maintained in its entirety and improved & corrected as requirement.

Student Designers Festival-25 March 2017

Fashion plays an increasingly important role in an indivi­dual’s life as it is considered as a means of self-expression. The garments and accessories that man or women wear, help them to identify with a group of others whether it is a lifestyle, profession, a religion, or an attitude. Now that, the term ‘fashion’ has become synonymous with the overall growth of the country as well.

Every person nurtures an innate desire of looking good and the feeling of being ‘accepted’ in the socio-economic circle.

The word fashion instantaneously brings to mind a flash of colour with a dash of glamour.Women are taking to fashion in a big way, and are experimenting with different looks, styles, and textures.On 25th of March, 2017, the students of Fashion & Apparel Design Department T. John College, showcased their final collection at “A Student Designers Festival” Designer Paradise hosted by Theagan Fashion Academy.Theme was Eccentric Mural, beautiful western silhouettes suitable for metro life, where Metro symbolizes a mini world, where all cultures and people can co-exist in harmony, in much similar manner fashion trends of all ages from retro to modern, traditional to trendy, drab to exciting, and can co-exist and flourish with equal easeThe collection was a mix of everything, all shapes and forms and all hues and shades merge like a rainbow and make life in a metro memorable, you can be comfortable in any style and colour. The trendy long jackets using the muslin cloth with beautiful hand painted murals were the attraction of the collection.


Annual Sports Day by TIMS

T John Institute of Management & Science (TIMS) organized Annual sports day on 25th MARCH 2017. The day was marched by many events like  running races of both men and women for 100 and 200 meters, 4 X 100 meters  boys relay.  Students from all the classes of TIMS participated in these events very enthusiastically.

The day continued with the short put for men  and women. The sports day witnessed other events like Volley Ball (men), Throw ball (women) and Cricket(Men) in the spacious playground of TJGI. There were also competitions on Chess and Table Tennis.

The Physical Director of TJGI and staff members of TIMS, besides conducting the events and cheering their students for participation and winning the events, and equally participated in the events like 100 meters running for men, lemon & spoon for women. They also took part in the events such as shot put for both men and women.

The sports events further took place in the form of indoor games of Table tennis – singles for boys and Chess for both girls and boys.

Sports day this year was a remarkable day for the students as maximum number of team events conducted this time. Many students could prove their skill and talents in the sports activities. We congratulate the following students and staff members of TIMS on their victory.

The Governing Council Meeting(GCM) of T John College

The Governing Council Meeting(GCM) of T John College was conducted on 25.03.2017 at 12:00PM in Chairman’s Chamber. All members including Chairman of T John College Dr. Thomas P  John, Dr. Mohamed Afzal Pasha from Bangalore University  were present for the Meeting. Meeting presided with the wishes from Chairman and others on T John College achieving NAAC A Grade. Then agenda started with the welcoming remarks of Chairman and Principal of T John College Dr. Shikha Tiwari presided over the presentation based on the evaluation tool followed by Local Inquiry Committee (as recommended in the previous meeting).  This method of presentation was also recommended to Principals of other group of institutions for their respective Governing Council Meetings. The meeting had valuable suggestions on revaluation process, admissions and alumni from members of the council. It was concluded with a vote of thanks from Ms. Hemalatha I Doddamani , Vice principal of T John College.

BLAZE 2017 sparks off it’s Annual College Festival

On the 16th and 17th of March, 2017, NAAC accredited ‘A’ grade college, T. John College, hosted an inter-collegiate festival – BLAZE 2017. The scheduled events, performances, and contests included music, dance, a number of quizzes, gaming, a football tournament, chef competitions, etc, with eminent celebrities presence, aiding as icing on cake. The fest’s pageant contest, Mr. & Ms. BLAZE was won by Syed Afsar from Aloysius College and Sangeetha Raju of National Degree College. The college’s hotel management department presented its annual food festival, “Lazeez 2k17” which formed another part of the celebrations, alongside, the fashion and apparel design department’s annual fashion portfolio presentation, “dé filé de mode”. The atmosphere across the T. John College campus felt vibrant and young. Dr. Thomas P. John, Chairman of the T. John Group of Institution, along with presence of the Principal, Dr. Shikha Tiwari, and other dignitaries declared the college festival open on the inaugural of 16th March. The on-stage presentations were compered by the ebullient, Ms. Uma Gopal. The event hosted proud associations with a number of organizations, ranging from student solutions to the best food restaurants/services available in the city. Bangalore’s favourite Bollywood radio channel Fever 104 FM covered the event live, with RJ Niki’s electrifying presence at the venue. Another media partner, India’s first English/Hindi news-in-audio app (SunoKhabar – also partnered with the event, via internships at stake with the firm. Overall, all competitions witnessed nearly 600 participants, and fest’s numbers is estimated at around a staggering 3000 on footfall.
