10th Induction Programme For Engineering Students

Induction programme is an initiative to groom the overall personality of students and make them acquainted with the culture of the institution. T John Institute of Technology conducted the 10th Induction Programme for the First Year Engineering Students on 03 August 2015.

The T John Institute of Technology, Auditorium were occupied by hundreds of aspiring students.The aim of the programme was to ensure that every student feels welcomed, engaged and excited to begin with their new and important stage of the education. The idea was to make the students aware of their prospective opportunities and to show them the path they have adopted in order to become successful engineers.

The function started with the invocation. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp by our honourable Chairman Dr. Thomas P. John. Wg. Cdr.(Retd.) David Yohan Advisor to chairman, TJGI., Dr.H.N.Thippe swamy Principal, TJIT, a fresh batch student with her parent. This is followed by Naada Geete.

Dr.H.N.Thippe swamy Principal, TJIT welcomed the gathering. Wg. Cdr.(Retd.) David Yohan an expert known in the academic community for his knowledge and resourcefulness, He advised the students to inculcate soft skills in them, as it will open a wide range of opportunities. He felt proud to announce that “TJIT has very good Infrastructure, which is required for enginnering students. He also informed the audience about the “Deiscipline”.

The function was graced by the top management dignitaries. Dr.Bijoy Kumar Mishra principal of TIMS and Dr.Shikha Tiwari, Principal, TJC attended the function. Dr.Radha.H.R. HOD, Chemistry Department and first year BE 2015 coordinator, TJIT briefed about VTU and TJIT rules and regulations to audience. Dr.Shantha Kumar HOD, Mechanical Engineeri ng department presented an annual report of TJIT and a video on TJIT annual progress of 2015, which is prepared by Mr.Karthik, Assistant professor, ECE department, TJIT, was shown to the audiance. NSDC official MRS.USha presented NSDC certificates to candidates, who actively participated in the NSDC programme. Mr.Vincent and Jyothi team members of JV Global Information Training centre, attended the function and Jyothi encouraged students by telling about our former late president of India Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam and importance of dream in our professional life which is essential for our livelihood.

Dr. Thomas P.John. Chairman, TJGI encouraged the students with his words of wisdom. He motivated the students by saying that when there is lack of some particular amenities, everyone must have the craze to get it. He also emphasized on career opportunities in the computer sector. He added that the infrastructure provided at TJIT is a boon to the students to nurture their dreams. The choice of words and measured phrases coupled with his simplicity inspired the students a lot. He advised the students to improve their vocabulary and communication skills. He told that students will get ample of opportunities, but only thing is that he should be ready to grab it. Being an enthusiastic leader, he motivated the students to start studying from the beginning of the semester. He also shared some of the great personalities who changed our life style like Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam . He asked every one about their goals. The students enjoyed a lot. The program ended with the vote of thanks by Dr.Sudeendra.S.R.HOD, Department of Mathematics, TJIT. National Anthem is played at the end of the programme. High Tea is observed at 12.10 PM.
