ARISE – Intra-Department Technical And Cultural Events


The Department of ISE had organized two days intra-Department technical and cultural events to celebrate the first anniversary of ‘ARISE’ the department forum on 30th and 31st October 2014.

Nearly 145 students participated in various events such as

1. Computer Gaming

2. Technical Paper Presentation

3. Technical Quiz

4. Code Debugging

5. JAM

6 Technical Debates.

7. Cultural Events

8. Technical Short Video.

The department has also developed the blog named: http://arisetjohn.wordpress.com/.

Enthusiasm of students was tremendous during these 2 days .TJIT Principal Dr Thippeswamy in his talk appreciated the efforts of students and faculty of the department. He also expressed that this should be continued every year with more and more quality programmes,so that the students are groomed to become good technocrats.

Habba, an inter-collegiate cricket and cultural event by TIMS


T.John Institute of Management& Science conducted the TIMS Habba, an inter-collegiate cricket and cultural event, on 17th and 18th of October for the first time in order to encourage the students to build teams spirit and participate in various competitions.

TIMS Habba- Cricket tournament had a huge turnout of 20 teams of different colleges like AMC, SSMRV, City College , VET , Jain College and many more colleges. The tournament was spread over 2 days with 20 matches. City College and VET College qualified for finals. VET College won the tournament with a lead of 12 runs and City College was declared as runners up.

TIMS Habba- cultural fest was grouped in on- stage and off stage events. The onstage events consisted activities like group dance, solo dance, solo singing, 60 seconds to fame and off stage events included Mehendi, Cooking without fire, Bridal Make up and face painting. Around 12 different colleges participated in various activities.

We congratulate to all the winners of various events, and appreciate the effort of faculty coordinators- Prof Ganesh, Prof Janki, Prof Mary and Mr. Nagraj as well other faculties and students of TIMS who made the event a grand success.
