As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, T John Group of Institutions donated Barricades to Hulimavu Police Station on the 29th Aug 2013. The barricades were delivered by Mr. Rajesh Naik, Head Marketing TJGI, Mr. Anand P M, System Manager TJGI, Mr. Ponnacha, Manager Estates and the same were received by Police Inspector Mr. Jayaram & Asst. Sub Inspector Mr. Fakkrudhin.
The above initiative was widely appreciated by the police officials with gratitude.

FDP on Emerging Trends in Management Education

The Department of Management Studies of T.John College, had organized one day Faculty Development Programme on Emerging Trends in Management Education on 23.08.2013. Dr.Thomas P John Chairman of T.John Group of Institutions greeted and conveyed his best wishes for the programme, amidst his busy schedule. The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Wg.Cdr.(Retd) P.Sambasivan, Campus Director of T.John Group of Instittutions.

He emphasized the need for improving individual quality in teaching that would pave for the augmentation of real management education. Dr.Shikha Tiwari, Principal of T.John College, presided over the programme. She reiterated the need for conducting such programmes that would herald the significance of individual responsibility of the faculty, in enhancing such traits and delivering those to the student community who would mould themselves according the industry requirements. Dr.D.Loganathan, Director of Management studies gave the Inaugural Address and welcomed Key Speakers of the programme participants from 20 colleges from Bangalore and 2 colleges from other states were present. The programme was excellent from the delivering of fruitful sources of information by the Eminent speakers Dr.V.Rajeshkumar Professor and consultant, Bangalore Mrs.Nithya Rajasekhar, a versatile HR Manager of Accenture Bangalore and Prof.J.Balaji of SDM institute of Management Development Mysore. Dr.Nilanjana Basu Vice Principal of T.John College distributed participant certificates at the valedictory function. Mrs.Chandrakala, Asst.Prof of MBA Department and other faculty members of Management Studies., coordinated to make this event a grand success.

67th Independence day Celebration-2013

T. John Group of Institutions celebrated the 67th Independence Day on 15th Aug 2013 at T. John Institute of Technology. The Campus Director, wg. Cdr (Retd.) Sambasivan and Principal T.J.I.T Dr.S.Padmanabha hoisted the National Flag and delivered the Independence Day message.

In their message they insisted that today’s youth should withstand the difficulties of life and overcome fear with courage. They appreciated Mr.Govinda Kumar, PED, TJGI for organizing the function. The function was concluded by Mr.Narayana Swamy.R, Assoc.Prof Department of ECE thanking the Principal, Heads of Departments, teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students for their enthusiastic participation. Ms. Hamsa Nadig and group sang two patriotic songs which evoked felling of patriotism.

National conference on Communication and Image Processing by TJIT

NCCIP was held on 7th August, 2013 at T JOHN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY organized by the department of Electronics and Communication.
The program was presided over by Dr. Thomas P. John, Chairman, T John Group of Institutions.
The chief guest of the function was Dr. Phaneendra Yalavarthy, Medical Image Processing Group-Super Computer Research Center, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He gave us valuable information on the current developments, trends and needs of ‘Medical Image Processing’ needed for the human beings. He exhibited the need of 4D medical image and their usage in medical applications.
The key note speaker of the day was Dr. M. H Kori, (Retd), Director of Lucent –Alcatel Technology, Bangalore. He gave us a lot of information on the advancement in ‘Wireless Communication’.
We have received 156 papers from various Engineering College from Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, out of which 72 Technical papers were selected for presentation and 45 papers for poster presentation in four parallel sessions in the Department of Electronics and Communication /Telecommunication Engineering. The sessions were attended by paper presenters, delegates, students and staff of various colleges in and around Bangalore. One best paper was selected per session and cash prizes were awarded to the authors of best papers from RLJIT, SJBIT, DSCE and RVCE-(JAIN University).
The students and staff of ECE/TCE, T. John Institute of Technology took part actively and made this event a grand success.

Induction Program for Students by TJIT

The Inaugural Function to welcome the 1ST year students of 2013-14 batches was heldon 1ST August 2013 at TJGI Auditorium. Around 271 students along with their parents were present for thefunction. The Chief Guest for the day was Dr.Thomas P John, Chairman TJGI, Wg.Cdr.(Ret’d) David Yohan ,Advisor (Academics) to the Chairman, TJGI & Wg.Cdr.(Ret’d) P.Sambasivan-Campus Director, TJGI were the Guests of Honor. Dr.S Padmanabha, Principal TJIT presided over the function.

The function started with an Invocation Song invoking God’s blessings followed by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries & Naada Geethe. Dr. H R Radha,1 st year coordinator and Prof. & HOD Dept. of Chemistry, in the Welcome Speech extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries, students, parents, faculties & staff present at the gathering. This was followed by a speech by the Principal TIlT, Campus Director TJGI, Advisor to the Chairman TJGI & finally the Chairman TJGI. All the dignitaries gave a warm welcome to the students & parents. The program concluded with a ‘Vote Of Thanks by Dr. Sudheendra, HOD Dept. of Mathematics,followed by the National Anthem. Soon after the program a high tea was arranged for the parents & students. The Campus Tour was left open for the parents who wished to have a glimpse of TIlT labs & premises.During the second half of the day, all the semester students (I, III, V & VII) actively participated in a campaign named – ‘Dosti Ka Shubh Aarambh’, a refreshing program organized by Mis Madison IES along with their Client Cadbury India Ltd. The event started with the innovative idea of welcoming the students (I, III, V & VII Semester) in a special manner together with facilitating the first year students to break the ice with their batch mates as well as seniors. They were fun-filled activities & goodies which the students enjoyed immensely.
