TJCP organised “ ESTILO Y MODA “ (fashion and dance competition) on 27th April 2013 .About 250 participants from various colleges and fashion institutes in and around Bangalore showcased their talents and skills in front of a jam packed auditorium. There were 12 fashion teams, 10 group dance teams , and 20 solo dance contestants.
The judges were “Mr. Ramesh” who is a famous choreographer and winner of dance reality show zee kannada and “Mr.Chandrashekar “ who is a famous aerobic instructor. Cash prizes and certificates were distributed.

Seminar on “Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking” by Mr. ANKIT FADIA

The Department of Master of Computer Applications, TJIT in association with IndiaCan, BSK II Stage, Bangalore organized an eventful seminar on “Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking” by Mr. Ankit Fadia, Certified Ethical Hacker and Worldwide Recognized Computer Security Guru for the students of T John Group of Institutions on 26.04.2013 between 10:15 – 12:15 hours in TJIT Auditorium.
The function started exactly at 1030 as planned. Dr. AM Nageswara Yogi, HOD, MCA along with his faculty members welcomed the Guest of Honour Mr. Ankit Fadia and Mrs. Shobha Chandrashekar, Centre Head, IndiaCan. Dr. S Padmanbha, Principal, TJIT, presided over the function with his scintillating talk about cyber security. He also facilitated Mr. Ankit Fadia. Wg Cdr (Rtd.) P Sambasivan, Campus Director facilitated Mrs. Shobha and also addressed the gathering. GP Prabhukumar, Dean, spoke about Ankit Fadia and addressed the gathering.
Mr. Ankit Fadia in his lecture said that the computers connected to internet, which we are using for mail are being hacked in many ways. Even passwords can obtained by various hacking methods and a person sitting anywhere in the world can switch on the camera connected to computer, thereby loosing the privacy of the individuals. He mentioned various case studies related to hacking of computers he said that and even the clicking operations of the mouse can be interchanged. He also brought out in his case studies the decrypting of messages circulated among the terrorists.
522 students from TJIT, 80 students from MCA (BU) and 56 students from TIMS attended the seminar. In addition majority of the faculties across T John Group of Institutions attended the Seminar.

Graduation Day, 2013 By T John College

The ‘Graduation Day’ was celebrated with great pomp and show on 20th April, 2013 in T. John College and T. John Institute of Management and Science. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest Mr. Omar Lebbe Ameer Ajwad who is the Actg. Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka for Southern India, the Chairman of TJGI Dr. Thomas P. John, The Advisor to TJGI Ret’d Wg. Cdr. D.A.K. Yohan, the Campus Director of TJGI Ret’d Wg. Cdr. P. Sambasivan, the Principal of T. John College Dr. Shikha Tiwari along with the Vice Principal of T. John College Dr. Nilanjana Basu, Heads of Departments and other faculty members. The students were there for the occasion with their parents and well-wishers. The programme began on a celebratory note with the playing of the college anthem. The ‘Invocation Song’ was sung which was followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and a ‘Welcome Address’. The Chairman of TJGI Dr. Thomas P. John addressed the audience. The Chief Guest was introduced to the audience and he delivered a wonderfully thought provoking speech.
The Principal administered the oath to the students. The students with outstanding academic performance such as Ms. Juhi Verma from B.B.M. (TJC), Ms Reshma Dev from B.B.M. (TIMS), Ms. Thejaswini M.C. from B.C.A. (TJC), Mr. Johny Kiran from B.H.M. (TJC) and Ms. Umanga Nathali Galaitiyawa from B.Sc. FAD (TJC) were awarded by the Chief Guest. The ‘Popular Teacher’s Award’ was given to Mr. Sridhar Krishnan from the Department of Hotel Management by the Chairman of TJGI. Mr. Febin John James from IInd Semester B.C.A was awarded for his laudable achievements in the field of Computer Applications. A ‘Vote of Thanks’ was given to the Chief Guest and the other dignitaries present for the occasion by the Vice Principal of T. John College Dr. Nilanjana Basu. All the final year students were called up on the dais and given their college leaving certificates by the dignitaries. There was a cultural extravaganza for the entertainment of the guests. The national anthem of India and Sri Lanka was played at the end of the programme and the day ended on a celebratory note.


T. John College of Pharmacy organized International Soccer League-2013 for foreign students studying in the different professional colleges in Karnataka from 13th to 15th March, 2013. More than 20 colleges participated in this event. The Chief Guest for the programme was Mr. Arumainayagam, Asian Gold Medalist and Guest of Honour Mr. Sampath K , Bronze Medalist and former Goalkeeper of India. In the finals the Sudan Association beat Ankle Breakers by 4-2. The Winning Team went home richer by 25,000/-, along with trophy and the Runners –up were also awarded cash prize of 10,000/-and certificates. Football Free Styling too was performed by Mr. Peter and Mr. Yogendra, Indian Olympic participants.
